NEW YORK — PARIS — GLASTONBURY — NEW ZEALAND 2012
After running up town and across town from the Marc Jacobs show I stopped to take this shot of the sun setting on the side of the Empire State Building. I remember being super stressed because I couldn't find a cab after the show which meant I had to literally run to Lincoln Center. This kind of made up for it.
This was the first photo I ever took that weirdly gave me some credibility in the photography space. I put it online and the New Yorker (I think?) picked it up. They never credited me and it pissed me off. All of a sudden that made me think "Wait, if I care so much does that mean I'm a photographer?".
Sarah on Canal Street, NYC 2012
After I had mastered the DSLR camera I started shooting on film. This was on the shoot for my publication Pearl + Hammer. It can still be found here.
Sarah on Laight, NYC 2012 On this shoot I was trying to capture a typical day in New York. It turned out to just be a tour of all the asbestos ridden buildings in New York.
New York Fashion Week, 2012
This was the first photo I took at New York Fashion Week that felt 'fashion' without literally being a typical fashion image.
Grace @ Marc Jacobs, 2012
I had the opportunity to introduce myself to Grace once but freaked out and didn't. You know when you see someone you really admire and you want to ask for a photo but it's weird and uncool so you take a photo of them trying not to let them see you but they totally see you and it's just awkward. That was what happened here. Hi Grace.
Bill @ NYFW, September 2012.
I learned a lot from Bill. He was like an encyclopaedia of fashion and art. He new everyone from Anna Wintour to Andy Warhol. This was the last photo I ever took of Bill.
No Doubt (Reunion), NYC 2012
I had to wake up at 3am to see No Doubt reunite, so I didn't go to sleep that night. Bad Idea. Got trampled by a herd of sweaty frat guys.
Long Week, NYC 2012
Sarah and I out till 10pm shooting on the weekend. Sarah is such a champ, she never complained when I wanted her to help me on the weekends. She was a serious enabler of my current profession. Sarah, you're incredible.

1am on Broadway, 2012
I think I was sitting on the steps of the back entrance to the David Letterman show when I took this. I have an agreement with myself to write down ideas immediately as they happen. It doesn't matter what time or where I am I stop, sit down, open my diary and write. This is what was happening prior to this moment.
Tom on thanksgiving, 2012
The majority of our 'friends group' lived in the Upper West Side of New York City. We would all hang out the window and yell at our friends (and strangers) below on the street. I saw Tom hanging out the window so I yelled at him to stay there while I ran into another room to get this shot. That's central park in the distance, as well as the building where John Lennon lived when he was shot.

LAKE ROTOMAHANA, NEW ZEALAND
Lake Rotomahana, 2017
Lake Rotomahana was once home to the Pink and White Terraces - once considered the 8th Wonder of the World. I recently recounted the journey of 18th Century travellers to take this drone shot of Lake Rotomahana. The last people to artistically survey this area were painter Charles Blomfield and novelist Anthony Trollope.
